Hassocks, epitaphs

460 handtiched hassocks from English country churches and 65 epitaphs from their graveyards – the first epresenting the community of the living, the latter representing the community of the dead – evoke images of presence and absence, mortality and eternity. Both become signs of man´s attempt to deal with impertinence and oblivion.
